I work for consulting firm X and I work at a client location Y in the same town.I need to go to X once a week and 5 days a week to the client location.Can I show the commute distance from my home to Y in my tax returns as a decution?.Thanks in advance for the reply.

I think your client location would be considered your home office, so it is commuting(which is not deductible). If you have to travel to the consulting firm once you have gotten to work already it is deductible as a Miscellaneous expense. However only the amount over 2% of your income is deductible as Miscellaneous expenses.

I think it is only mileage from work stataion Y to workstation X and so on. Nothing to do with your mileage from home to work.
