What ever happened to freedom of speech? Wasn't most of the music in the 60's and 70's anti something? I live in the Houston area and none of the C&W stations will even play a DC song. I wonder now after the Grammys if it will change? I guess we will see.

I honestly don't care what was said about Bush, I think he is the villiage idiot myself.

I'm glad the Chicks won! It's not because I like country music(I don't), but now the government knows they can't dictate music tastes and ruin careers.

well of course there's freedom of speech, but the comments were made OUT SIDE OF THE COUNTRY
still that's fine, it doesn't make them anti American at all

but when people who opposed them with THEIR freedom of speech they acted like a crime was being committed against them
and called the people HATERS

and were cry babies about it, it works both ways

what also hurt them they produce music that it marketed to a section of the population that are red white and blue to the hilt and they don't like any thing said about their president and so forth

then after winning an award the comment ha ha done like Bart Simpson (so juvenile) tells me they still think they are the only ones entitled to freedom of speech

I didn't like them before, I don't listen that their kind of music but I have no desire to support them now

Freedom of speech is alive and well. So is the freedom to play what listeners want to hear. Sales for their albums are down, and they have to cancel concerts due to lack of sales. I guess the masses have spoken. I like most of their music, but if I want to listen to politics, I will turn on the news.

I think it's the kind of music they make. Country music appeals to alot of older, more conservative people. If a rocker or rapper would have made similar comments nobody would have made a big deal about it.

Oh, Baby, you're stuck in the bushland, damn... I'm sorry. You do remember that your village idiot said how there should be limits to freedom? Well, the little Adolf & his fat robocop with the lesbian daughter surely imposed those limits. Fortunately, he'll be gone soon, crawling back under the rock he came from.

They're lucky to still have their careers. I think they should be allowed to express themselves. I was surprised when I saw them win last night on the Grammy's.

I haven't heard their new songs, but I like them and I think they are talented. I don't understand why they got shunned...Bush was a major dumy, they should be able to say whatever they want.
