My doctor told me 6-8 weeks... The cut really doesn't matter though.... The stiches inside will disolve and the staples should have come out by now.. but it takes 6-8 weeks for all the stitches to dissolve.. and she should be or have already gone back to the doc for the postpartum check up around 6-8 weeks after the birth,, At that time, the doctor will check her over and give the green light....

It is eight weeks. Just two more weeks than a regular birth. I know because I had both of my children be c-section. Also, It is very uncomfortable too because of all of the stitches they have to use in order to connect each layer back together. Hope this answered your question.

I would actually ask your wife's OB/GYN. Everybody is different.
Although you may be eager to start up your sex life again, c-sections are very painful and take a while to heal. It depends on how your wife feels and if you get the green light from her OB/GYN. After my c-section it took us about two months before I felt ready.

What were her doctor's instructions when she was released from hospital? For one thing a C-section is MAJOR abdominal surgery and it will take at least a year for her to recover FULLY from the surgery, so I suggest you follow her doctor's instructions...unless you want her back IN the hospital for a hysterectomy.

Usually about three months-I have had to wait twice! It can be shorter or longer period-just depends on when the doctor clears her. I hope everything is well and healed now-enjoy your child!

That would depend on what her doctor told her. It should be after she sees him for her check up. She not only had a baby but she also had major surgery.

After 40 days...Puerto Rican women do what is called a "cuarentena". Is good, and safer.
