i have had plenty of broke bones it is better to re break it now and have it reset then to wait till later. with it being off it will cause her all kinds of problems. its better to do it now before it completely heals. when the doctor re breaks it they cut the bone they dont just break it.

Same thing happened to me when i was 12. I broke my wrist and it healed wrong, they then had to reset it about a year later. It would have been so much better had they done it earlier, because i was in SOO much pain that year. I'd say have it reset now and get it over with.

Man,,, sorry dude, I dont know and wouldnt want to have to make that decision myself,, but I thought i would just say that 7 yrs of growing seems like a long time to wait for something like that. I think i would get a second opinion... maybe even a third. Good luck to you and yours.

If you are dealing with an orthopedic surgeon who works with a lot of kids, I would tend to go with his advice. That being said, get a 2nd opinion, no good doctor is offended by that. If you are not dealing with a top notch orthopedic surgeon, then stop everything until you see one and get their advice. Not all doctors are expert in bones, especially in children.
