I am a Native woman. I actually have put on Pow-wow's. There are ALWAYS several people who are not Native who attend Pow-wow's and it is very appropriate. Please make sure to get a program when you attend and read the section on pow-wow etiquette. Actually you can search pow-wow etiquette on line if you want to be prepared. Let me assure you that YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME, that is the way of a Pow-Wow.

I have been to Pow-wows quite frequently.

I learned the etiquette, I never claimed to be Native, and I showed respect. Go in there wanting to learn, humble, and with an open mind.

I have also sweated by invitation.
