Here is the situation:

I signed a one year lease in November of 2006, so my lease expires in November of 2007. This is is my second one year lease with the apartment managers.

I recentlly promoted at work and I am being moved to another city, about an hour away.

I found my first lease agreement and their is a transfer clause that allows me to get out of my lease with a 30 day notice and a letter from my company. However, I do lose my deposit ($300).

My newest lease does not have a transfer clause and the only thing close to it is a military clause (I live in a military town) that allows soldiers to get out of a lease if they receive orders taking them somwhere else.

I wouldn't exactly describe my apartment managers as friendly. They've been pretty strict with noise, littering and unauthorized vehicles in the apartment complex.

What can I do to get out of my lease?

Most likely the landlord purposefully omitted the job transfer clause. So you might be out of luck. But don't give up hope! Often if you merely explain the situation to the landlord they may make an exception for your situation with consideration to your past business relationship with them. Before speaking to them I suggest you get some documentation from work about your transfer to show the landlord and talk to your company's relocation department to see if they can offer any assistance to your dilemma. Make sure you are speaking to the boss and not some underling when you present your case.

If you upload him to the rent he's going to be anticipated to cross a credit score investigate as good and pay a component of the hire consistent with the leasing manufacturer. This might be your excellent security. If you permit him to transport in with you free of charge and now not be further to the rent, it's viable so that you can be evicted and have got to pay the rest stability of your rent interval. Most rent contracts have a bit that offers with humans dwelling with you for greater than a discuss with and the penalties if that is located to be real with none notification to the leasing manufacturer. Read your rent for extra know-how. It could be very viable to be focused on an association like this. Be cautious. You would do extra harm for your possess credit score list than you'll assume.

Ask nicely, you may be surprised at the answer. I'd offer giving them the deposit and ONE extra month's rent if they aren't in the negotiating mood.

Always ask your company to see if they will be willing to chip in to this "settlement" as part of relocation expense.
