I am not against the caste reservation, but do you think similar type of quota {not this OBC} should be implemented so that players from other states such as Assam , Tripura, Jammu etc can get a chance to represent India at the International level

Many of you may be against me but I personally don't like these Reseravations.
When the OBC quota bill can be passed after so much reaction from whole part of world {including Supreme Court} by our Govt., then I feel that the game of Cricket is also in Danger. And Govt may soon make a rule for quota in Cricket as the Govt and poltician have already prepared to spoil a hundred thousand student's career by implementing OBC Quota..

Many of you suggested that Cricket should be kept away from Poltics. Right I do agree but what happened when the OBC Bill was passed and sent for President's Approval?
So, If Cricket is in danger then we will bother but when it comes to career then we say nothing.

Reseravation other then when absolutely needed will not only harm the Spirit of the game But Also Demoralise the better Players if they Belong to General Catagory. The selestion of a Player who represents India all Over the World AS a Forum Should be based on The Quality The Person possess not on which back ground he/she comes from.Providing Emple oppurtunity to the Players is A Duty of Sports ministry But When it comes to selection of a Player It should be solely based on performence.Where Quota Sytem is unecessary

there should be no quota system in any case. (the existing quota is regional). Instead bring up a separate team for OBC to play in the Ranji and similar national tournaments. That would be a good provision for the OBCs where only they have a chance to perform. This could also lead to creation of OBC only cricket clubs, which would be fair on their part.
We require to act sensibly.

No way I think there should be no difference on the basis of cast at any fields because all caste got 60 years after independence which is i think enough for development if some caste really want.
Suppose some player like sachin is not entered into team because of reserve quota than it will be really shame on us.
Now a days teams like Africa are also trying to make equality between white and black then how can it be fair that we make partition like OBC and OPEN.

What has OBC quota to do with selection of players from the states you have mentioned? You have mixed up two things in your query. One is the issue of OBC reservation in the game of cricket and the other is the selection (or non-selection) of players from certain states in India. In either case, our players are not going to perform and give us the desired result with consistency.

Sports are only for persons who perform well in that particular field . It is independent of caste or religion . I disagree with OBC quota in Cricket selection.

We have been used to a quota selection for a long time... not OBC/ SC / St but Zonal...
If not then, between 1960 and 1990, we would not have had a single player from outside Bombay...
n I am serious not even Kapil Dev would have made it to the Indian team if it had not been for the Quota system...
So thank the Quota system…
