For those recommeding abstinence, not only your will your response be deleted, because it is not answering my question,,,

But you are jumping to the conclusion (which is extremely rude) that I am not married or that I might perhaps be engaged, getting married in the next 2 months, and have started looking for a birth control method that would work for me.... which is the case.

So please spare me from your abstinence speeches, because I have already waited, I'm getting married in two months.. and dont want to pop out kids right now!!!!!!!!!

I'm on Loestrin 24 Fe and love it. I started for cramps and a really irregular period, but I love all the effects it has. My period lasts about 2 days and I have no PMS (no emotions, no cramps, no bloating). My period is also really, really light. I did gain a little weight, but it was mostly in my breasts (which for me is bad because I am too big already). There was no effect on my sex drive. Actually it gave me a boost, because I was no longer constantly freaking out about getting pregnant.

I have tried several different oral birth control prescriptions, however last year I went with a Mirena IUD. It is fantastic. I wish I had used it years ago.

I've used pills and the ring, and I like the ring. You put it in and forget about it for 3 weeks. And it's supposed to work with lower hormone levels than pills.

Abstinence for me. I agree with Rain on that part. Sex is a huge commitment, but it's your choice. Just remember, if your partner has had sex before you, you're sleeping with all his partners too. Now, Birth Control.....if you're looking for a perscription. Here's a story for ya. My friend has been on SOOOO many pills. For some reason nothing works for her. She takes them for her period. Orthotricycelin is a good starter. Yasmin is getting pretty popular too. I suggest seeing your OBGYN about this. She can give you the BEST recommendation. xD except in my poor friend's case. But she has a SERIOUS problem with her periods, and she's not very responsible with her pills. Best of luck . Even with the pill, I HIGHLY recommend you use a condom, sponge, diaphragm, and spermecide. If you get pregnant, that's your responsibilty. YOUR child

Mirena IUD for me, too. 99.5% effective at preventing pregnancy...can stay in for 5 years....and for me anyway, it made my periods much lighter and shorter.

,abstinence sex before a ring can bring about many hurtful things. Just follow the original commandments of God then you will absolutely avoid herpes, aids, pregnancy, hepatitis vaginal warts and all the other std's. But most of all you will follow Proverb 27:11 with wisdom and rejoicing
