Try contacting The British Broadcasting Corporation and ask if someone in the Radio Archive Department can tell You which version of "The First Movement of Beethoven's 5th Symphony" was used as the introduction to the news during World War II. In case You do not know "dum, dum, dum, dah (dot dot dot dash {..._}) is the Morse Code for letter "V", as in "V" for Victory, hence that fact that the music was so popular at the time. Cheers!

If you still can't find it look for a title that says Theme from Beethoven's 5th Symphony in C Minor. Maybe that "in C Minor" will help the correct one stand out.
