The problem i can think of is your video card. Check your video card to see if its ok and didnt burn out. Your video driver can also be a problem. I dont suggest rebooting but u can uninstall all the drivers. also make sure that your system is up to date. Maybe you have service pack 1 on your computer. Make sure that you have service pack 2. if the problem still exist, then back up your files and reboot.

Go to device manager, select the product who's driver you have to uninstall and click property, there you will find an option to uninstall driver, click it. You have removed your driver. No matter how much Ram you have it's a problem of memory. Run updated antivirous on your PC. Than Run spyware remover, it should also be updated. If this also does not solve your problem, than get your PC's memory checked.

Go to the manufacturer's website for your motherboard and search for the latest drivers there.

If you think you already have the latest drivers, and want to reinstall them, go to the device manager, double-click on the device, go to the 'Driver' tab and press the "uninstall" button. Then install the drivers again from your source.

To open Device manager, right-click on the My computer icon and choose "manage", then click on the Device Manager icon on the left.

Sound's to me that you may be behind a firewall.Have you ever checked your firewall setting's to see if the wmp is listed in the exception tab of firewall control area? You know how to get there and set a path for it don't you? What ever you do if you do have a firewall block don't turn it off completely.Look in the exception tab see if wmp is listed and checked,if not there check in add program just under that list, check it and ok. Try it can't hurt.I know webcam problem's are mostly because of that firewall.
