What are some good sights I can search that are good for me to get a role in like a hit movie or tv show but like a hit movie for like kids my age? I am 11 years old and look like I am 12. I have searched a couple sights but they look like they will get me into some kind of movie or whatever that wont be very "popular" I love to act and I I'm good at it and i want a lot of people to see me act! I either want to get on a tv show something LIKE hannah montana or the suite life of zack and cody or like a movie i watch. Harry Potter..in my dreams but something that people my age watch! I really need help here. My mom said I could do it if I really wanted to but she would have to see how much time it would take up because I would have to go somewhere else to audition and if I got the part I would have to go somewhere else to do the part because I live on a small island in Friday Harbor and there is nothing like that on my island...3 movies in theater tops and no malls anywhere or anything!

You cannot get into acting through a website. You must get out and audition. If there are no auditions where you are, then you need to go where the auditions are. Since you're under-age, you either need to get your parents' help to get to the auditions, or you need to wait until you are older.

Fact is, acting is a hard business. That kid in Hannah Montana makes it look easy in the business because actors train for a long time to make it look easy.

If you want a career in acting, you need to make long-term plans. You need to start taking classes and getting involved in school plays or community theatre. An actor cannot afford to be humble; you must blow your own horn, talk about yourself at every opportunity, and look out for number one.

Sadly, there are a lot more actors out there today than there is acting work. There are an average of twelve qualified auditioners for every good part, and that's just in theatre; in movies and TV the number is much higher. Acting is an art form, but it is also a job, and if you want a career in acting you must treat it as seriously as if you were a doctor or a business executive. You must audition for something every day, you must manufacture work where you can, you must do everything in your power to make everyone notice you.

The internet cannot help you in this. You must go to where the work is, and you must work hard every day. The rewards of acting are definitely worth it--I love acting, there's nothing else like it in the world--but you can only get those rewards if you work long, hard, and relentlessly. Get started now if you want to succeed.

There are no easy short cuts. You have to go to auditions, lots of them. You would be advised to hire an agent. He or she will send your photo and resume to prospective casting agencies. And if someone offers you a part in a small-time project or a commercial, take it! The world is full of actors who want to be stars on popular TV shows or in hit movies. Those parts don't just fall off trees.

I must agree with nbsandiego.

I will comment that,
Miley Cyrus who plays "Hannah Montana"
is my cousin, and I will tell you she worked VERY hard to get that,
she origionally was denied for that part,
she had to build up her resume by doing the very things you must do in order to get what you want (ie. community theater, church and school plays...etc.) despite the fact who her father was and still is.
you can just get famous by going on an acting website and signing up,
it doesnt work that way you are young and have ALOT the learn about this industry if you want to be in it.
