I suppose whether or not old age is nice depends on what you've done in young age ...
But seriously, 31 is not old.
The writer William Trevor refers to youth as a time of uncertainty; middle age as a time of anxiety; and old age as a time of peace. He may be an optimist, but it sounds about right.

Age is a representation of far you've come along, there is nothing wrong with being in your thirties and having the mind, knowledge, and experience of a thirty year old. You should be proud. You've come a long way from the girl you used to be. Put a smile on that face, I haven't turned 31 yet but when I do, I'm going to throw a huge party. I'm growing up people!!!!!!!!

When I was 31 - it was the time of my life!
As the elder George Bush might say ... Read My Lips New Hampshire ...
YOU ARE NOT OLD!!!
I am a 700+ year old Sasquatch! Dang - I wish I was 31 again! You, my friend, know nothing of being old!
Hang with the younger folk all you want! Real "Old Age" bites the big one"!
BTW - Happy Birthday!

I feel for you. I was a bit down to turn 31, 32, 33 and suspect I will feel the same about 34. But hey, it beats the alternative!!! So cheer up and Happy Birthday!!

I'm only 19 but I'll be 20 in a few months and I'm sitting here thinking the time went by so fast...but I still feel soo young...and I look very young...embarrassingly young to be honest :( but I guess I'll appreciate it when I'm 31 :)
You're only as old as you feel in your heart.
If you're going to feel like an old fart on your birthday then you should get some girls together and go out and have some young fun!! Maybe go to a club dancing or just out for a couple girlie fun drinks?

I am 42 years old. Before I reached my 21st, I used to think its a terrible to get old and feel old. By the time I reached my 31st, I feel good, but happier to have the wisdom and enjoying my maturity than anything else I could think of. By the time I reached 40's, I feel great to have more deep of my wisdom, faith and happy to pass on my experiences to help the younger ones out there and guide them. Yes, old age is nice and gives you more things and develop more potentials in your life than you think.. You know, old age is like have a good wine. Wine has to be aged some years before it becomes very good and a nice flavor.

At 31 you're at the peak of your physical life in terms of how long it takes you to heal.
At 51 you're at the peak of your career and can still keep up with the best of them.
At 71 you're starting to feel old. Hopefully, we will all live longer than that.
