Grasses that are considered "carpet" grasses stay low to the ground but are very thick. The catch is that they only grow in certain environments. IE. I live in North Carolina and that grass seems to grow best in the Piedmont to the coast. I do not think it grows in the foothills or mountains. No idea why.

i recommend carabao grass, theyre thick and can hold soil better than bermuda grass. Perfect for lawns. Widely used in parks.
