well, it would depend on if your doctor is like mine and just happens to be delivering a baby everytime I go in....so needless to say, my visits are usually about 2 hours long.

Once you actually get into the doctor things go very quickly. Mostly just checking blood pressure and asking how you feel. Assuming you don't sit in the waiting room for 30 minutes (and with an 8 am appointment you shouldn't) he should have plenty of time for both.

Once you do your general "consultation" visit and you talk to the doctor etc, your visits should be pretty brief.
They will weigh you, take urine sample to test of protein and sugar in the urine, most likely listen for baby heartbeat and talk to you about any concerns or problems you may be experiencing. Also take blood pressure reading.
You may need to do a urine culture or some blood work and if they haven't talked to you about it already, they may ask you if you are interested in the NEW 1st trimester screening for Downs.
Other than that...I think that's all you'll be doing.
Good Luck and Congratulations

Depending on how busy the office is... I would guess about 20 or so minutes. That's how long most of mine last. It depends on if they are going to do a sono or not....most likely since you just had one they wont unless something is wrong and you are having problems. Tell him to go with you and leave early if he has too. That's what I would tell my hubby.

My appointments don't take long at all, at most 25 minutes. They will just do the normal, urine test, measure your uterus, possibly listen for heartbeat... I think he will make it.
