I applaud your question for its observations of human behavior. I might add that some people are called "conspiracy theorists" simple because they can NEVER come down to a specific answer as to why they think something did or did not happen without including some kind of conspiracy aspect to their answers. These people might fit your label as "smoking wacky backy's", simply because they seem forever unable to accept a direct and simple answer without suspecting some "undiscovered truth" somewhere. It does get a bit rediculous, and as a mental health practitioner with 20+ years experience, now retired, I can say they might also be diagnosable. But, again, I applaud your question for its keen observation of people, and because of my late dad's continual emphasis for us kids to "think for yourself", which was included in your question, and it brought back wonderful memories of the man who would NOT let me just buy the liberal media's bullsheeiiitttttttt. God Bless you.

First of all I am a conservative I believe and Have my faith in God not government .I want smaller less intrusive government.Conspiracy theorists ironically seem to be left leaning Big government Socialist types. From my point of view they have their wires crossed somewhere. They Don't believe the government yet they vote for higher taxes more government programs and more government control. Both current parties today seem to be for huge government a few in the republican party are not . People with cushy government jobs and A guaranteed wonderfull personal retirement.Hate privatizing social security. getting government out of these things are much better than increasing its control. You may be confused about the main steam media they all walk in lock step to a socially progressive agenda .At least Fox news presents both sides of most arguments most of the time. I Do agree with you but I suspect you think you are fighting against the government by voting with the Left . Nothing could be father from the truth . This country was made great by individuals that work very hard for their families and put their trust in Gods laws and principles not a government.
Amen god Bless you and keep you . Greg

They don't understand the difference between conspiracy t-h-e-o-r-y and actual government conspiracy. For instance....
The FACT that GW Bush on October 17, 2007 had a "private" Oval office ceremony and signed into law the 2007 Defense Authorization Act.
http://towardfreedom.com/home/content/view/911/
OR
That this move towards a North American Union is actually FACT and being instituted right now!
http://www.freedom.org/naugreen2/player.html
That will unite Mexico, the US, and Canada!
Even with credible fact based links they still like to think it's propaganda and really in truth speaking for myself I have NO hidden agenda. I only want to get the information out to my fellow Americans!!
We need to inform and educate each other when we find out what is being done to our country!!

I have worked in many places that "well respected conspiracy theorists" have declared things went on inside ... and I got a good chuckle out of their spouting off... but many people took them seriously.. which endangered the lives of people working there.. which I do not appreciate...
So, when people start saying that the government is performing secret experiments here or there.. I still get a good laugh... or with many of the other things that people say the government is doing in secret.

That's democracy. This is why it is so important that other countries must have democracy. It appears to start with the money. The money rules. It owns the media, runs the banks, and makes puppets and mouthpieces out of the elected. Elected politicians rarely consult their constituents about how they are to vote on the issues that come up while in office. It may just be a theory, but it looks like illusive dictatorship to me.

There are issues which authentic looking human beings might want to ask questions about, regrettably they have been disregarded interior the infantile flood of crackpot theories. as a outcome 10 years have lengthy previous by potential of without many human beings asking questions like: - why, after 25 years of provider, did the Saudi Arabians replace their head of protection the day after it surpassed off? - Why does the released version of Mohammed Atta's very last communique with the suicide communities study as no matter if it really is written in 'comedian e book pink Indian', by potential of someone who change into imagining issues he theory an Arab might want to say? Who truly wrote it, and what change into interior the actual communique? - Why change into it so significant to get individuals of the Saudi Royal kin again to KSA so right away - what different issues have surpassed off in previous years even as senior individuals were overseas, and what did they might want to worry might want to be about to take position? Is it achieveable they'd no substances planted in an organization which for decades were committed to their downfall?

I agree with you completely! Wasn't it Adolf Hitler who said, "What good fortune for governments that the people don't think."? Hitler was a loony, but at least he understood this simple truth. People just blindly accept whatever their government and society thrust upon them without ever stopping to question it's validity. They are so desperate to conform and avoid thinking for themselves that they lash out in fear at anyone who possesses the capacity for independent thought. Sad, eh?

People are called "conspiracy theorists" because the conjure up absurd accounts of conspiracies & hold on to them no mater what the facts are. The term is a misnomer since their wild ideas do not come close to the level of being theories. "Conspiracy nots" is a more accurate description.
