im going to law school but ive been hearing from many that lawers hate their jobs and wish they had done something else and are not financial well off. Of course i will not let that discourage me, i am going to law school because i believe i can succed. however i want to be smart about it. Are there other jobs available to law schools graduates? Say if i became very unhappy with my work could i go into business? Perhaps i should change my major which right now is english/ history (however i feel i can get the best grades in these which is important to law schools)

Evidently politics is a favorite.

Hmmmm. Lawyers and politicians. Sounds like a punch line.

Once you have a college degree, pretty much anyone will higher you. If you want to go into business for yourself you should do well, there are many laws involved into going into business.

If you are unsure, ask yourself if you this is really what you enjoy doing. Don't get into something just because you know you will succeed. Do it because you love it. Do what you love and the money will follow, plus you will be happy and satisfied.

I'm sure there are plenty of law related jobs besides lawyer though I don't know exactly what they are and there are all types of lawyers to but a degree like that will get you into any number of non-law related fields as well. You may not qualify to be a doctor but I'm sure you'll do well in business. And who knows, maybe you'll actually like being a lawyer. But really, how many people really like what they do anyway?

If grades are good enough you can become a professor....that can be a pretty cushy job.

Just do not....repeat...do not get yourself in too deep with student loans.
