The legit way to beat it is when ever you select a square, the number in each square is the same as the number of mines in the 8 surrounding squares. Plus luck will come in handy too.

Works in Win XP & 2000.
Start Minesweeper normally. When it has loaded, type "xyzzy +". Hold on to shift when pushing twice. After doing this, the top-left pixel of the monitor screen will be white when the mouse pointer is on a square without a mine, and black when the pointer is on a square with a mine.

on custom make it the biggest possible with smallest number of mines then click a corner sometimes you gotta click one or two squares or it just completes it
