This story, like most others starts with a girl, or a group of girls to be precise. One of these has been my friend for a while now. This girl introduced me to her friends, who became my friends, and flirted with me for a period of about two months. Finally her and two of those friends convinced me to ask the fourth to a valentine's day dance. That's where it really started:), movies together, coming over to my house, you know, the whole deal. She told me she really liked me and wanted to spend the day of the dance with me. Then came the day of the dance, saturday, and they invited me to instead of the dance, go bowling with them. Which i accepted, despite not being able to play because of my recently-healed shoulder. One hour before we are to meet, no phone calls nothing, no one will answer or return my call. Turns out, the girl went over to another guy's house with her friends then the movies, while leaving me to hang, or so they thought:) cruel no?

Was all this some kind of elaborate plan to hurt me, wow? If they did not throw her at me and beg me to ask her, i would never have even shown an interest! Luckily my real friends called me up and took me to a play and dinner that evening, but wow, is ANYONE really that cruel?

And every time i think about her chasing around this other guy, i wonder if she just used my popularity as an excuse to catch his attention?

Sounds like a really cruel joke of some sort. My advice would be for you to totally ignore that it ever happened. I am almost sure they are waiting for you to mention it so they can laugh. I would not give them the satisfaction. If they happen to bring it up(ever) I would say "oh yea, the night of the dance...ah I met up with some friends and went out. say this all in a matter of fact tone like it was no big deal. Let this be a learning experience with this group of people. On the bright side, sounds like you do have REAL friends, like the ones you did actually go out with. Ditch the others. You are way too good for them. Keep the faith.:-)

Oh yes. I think they were being inconsiderate. They probably didn't think you would mind because they asked YOU to ask her out.

They're not thinking of the fact that you went out of your way to make a lot of people happy and left you to dry.

You could have made other plans but no one gave you notice.
That is just RUDE!

I'm with you on this one. They have a tendency to use people arbitrarily.

Stick with your real friends.
I'm glad to hear though, that you were able to have a good time despite their negligent behavior. That's a little too imature for my blood.

I bet she thought she was going to be alone for valentines...her friends felt bad...they thought of you...then at the last min the guy that she was interested in invited her out...
Yes it is cruel just to leave you hanging like that, especially since you kind of went out of your way. (not out of your way but being nice...)
But I'm sure it wasn't planed out that way...unless there is something that you are leaving out that would cause her or her friends to want to hurt you...

i feel for ya, that really is foul.........my advice would be to ignore this girl because she will come back around..........and YES it was very cruel but your better off not getting involved with a girl like that because good ppl deserve good ppl and girls like that will end up getting screwed over by some player and end up coming back to someone like you because they want to be wanted and not just screwed......... so best of luck with the next 1 and keep your head up

If you ask me, you should just ask her what's going on...
if she says she wants to dump you, then i'd say, good riddance.

any girl who doesn't care about someone else's feelings probably isn't a girl at all..
If i were you, I'd forget about her..

(but don't become emo and start crying at every thought of her okay dokay? that would be quite sad..) :D

and if you're looking for a movie to watch, i'd rent scary movie 4 xD
tis a funnnny movie

terribly cruel. You need to hang out with more caring girls. If they did that to you then they aren't your friends. I'm sorry about that some people are just nasty.
