Don't get me wrong here but I have yet to find a good female rocker. Why do they all sound bad? Why are male rockers so much more appealing to everyone?

I think you have to give your gender a little more credit! :-) I'll save all the girls out there from answering part of the question by simply saying this: There aren't that many good girl rockers simply because the number of girls who have an interest in producing that particular type of music is much lower than the guys.

Sure, there is a matter of a bit of sexism on the part of some mush-brained music producers who zealously search for male bands and that much- desired "macho" image which we equate with rock music, but I'm certain that the commercial possibilities of a good girl rock band would change their attitude in a hurry....

The other people who have answered this question have named a couple good girl rockers, but I don't see any mention of "Heart", or The Go Gos. Though they are a little older than most of you reading this, they helped pave the way for others - if they want to follow down the same path. The talent is there, but not the numbers. If they desired to become involved, they would do it well! Right, girls?. So get busy out there! :-)

Hmm i would have to slightly disagree with you on that. The real reason is that there are not that many female rockers out there in the recording industry world as most of the world when thinking rock normally associate it with men( not neccesarily only my opinion). But there are alot of great female rockers out there who have not been found yet! you just have to go out and look i think. Female rockers i think will never be better then men but that doesnt mean that it cant happen its just a question of finding them. And hey you can begin lol.
I hope i helped

The reason is because the girls haven't been given a chance. The rock industry is made for men but listen to Paramore..they are definetely not bad and the lead singer is a girl.
but im a total rocker chick and i am lead singer in my rock band. I think the girs in rok world just haven't been given a chance bc its all so full of men that we are to new of a face

to a large extent motorcyclists in the past have been considered the "bad boys" as they were in gangs and were jailbirds. Even kind of like the "good-ole-boy" network of male domination and belonging in a group of people they leaned on for survival. Some people like "bad boys". Girls weren't included in the motorcycle gangs as it was a macho thing. I think the males are more appealing just because they either are or emulate that gang rough and tough look.

I think it's the whole "girls are pretty and dainty, and guys are dirty and sweaty" thing.

Check out Heart. Not exactly rock out or anything, but there are a lot of girls in there, and they make it a little, tinsey, tiny bit gritty at least.
