The brand that I use is a Stihl; you can buy several types of attachments including a hedge trimmer and chain saw. I highly recommend this brand. Such a tool makes difficult tasks a lot easier...and the fuel consumption is relatively low...

Home Depot, Echo brand. You have to get the straight shaft weed eater and purchase the blade as a separate attachment. Careful using it, it looks dangerous.

Go to Lowe's. They have this new walk in bay that has all the weed eaters and the attachments on display. You can see and touch exactly what your buying. Plus Lowe's has a great return policy if it breaks or you decide you want something with MORE POWER!

They sell universal attachments at Wal-Mart, but beware! Anyone I know that has ever tried on ends up having the motor burn up on them a month or two later...I don't think the weed eater is meant to be used on hacking anything down but average weeds.

I used to have one. Got it at LOWES, but I did a google.com search before I went out to buy one. Not all weed eaters have that attachment ability.

Lowe's or Home Depot. Don't buy the cheapest one or it will burn up. Don't use it to shave. Don't chase the squirrels with it.
