Why does Heavy Metal music make some people suicidal?

All music effects the subconcious. Soft music relaxes most people etc..
If your brain was to be hooked up to a machine that would measure brain activitie, it would show that the brain waves flow in a rhthym of about 2 pulse per second. Heavy Metal music flows anywhere from 5 to 10 pulse per second. Very uncomfortable for the brain. Most Heavy Metal musicians also sing about death and killing as well as dieing. Put all this together and a person coming from a dysfuncional family or if depressed you have the makings for suicide. Try waking up in the morning to soft music and you will find yourself in a good mood for the rest of the day. Wake up to Heavy Metal and you will bounce off the walls all day. you will also get tired, depressed, and feelings of anger followed by feeligs of hurt before the day is over. Heavy Metal music creates violence and anger in the mind so people take drugs to numb the mind so they don't feel the hurt. Not all people feel that way because some have stronger minds then others. Those people will often move on to music that is less violent and more relaxing in a short time.
One way to look at it is, if you feed your brain violence and anger, you will become violent and angry. Violence and anger hurt so you want to get rid of it so you take drugs or commit suicide or both.
Stores play soft music to put shoppers in a good mood so they will buy more and make that shopping experience pleasent.

Heavy Metal (or any other kind of music) does NOT make people suicidal!! Those folks probably had sad and depressing lives to begin with... problems that existed long before they picked up a Heavy Metal CD!

Everyone has said it right. Music doesnt make someone to kill themselves. But music, esp. Heavy Metal, gives most people energy, so the people who commit suicide whilst listening to heavy metal, are already suicidal. Just for most suicidal people, listening to the music gives them the energy. There gonna do it any way.

heavy metal or any other kind of music does not make a person suicidal. It might urge a person on or give them the Adrenalin to go through with the act. but seriously if someone commits suicide it is because they are suicidal. People or even that person will place blame on anything but the person.

oh my, they have been fighting that out in courts for years. I don't know if anyone actually won a case, but when a person commits suicide, we usually want to blame someone. Hence, heavy metal. Silly isn't it. To actually believe that the lyrics to a song, would convince someone to do something that drastic. I believe people who would kill themselves, would do it if they listened to a different style of music. They are weak and for some reason or another cant or wont find the help they need.

because heavy metal is all about releasing anger and hatred. it is not the music that makes the people suicidal it is that suicidal people tend to listen to that music. so just because you listen to heavy metal dosent mean that you are gonna kill your self. but if you are gonna kill your self, you will probably start listening to heavy metal. i hope this helped

Music does not make someone suicidal. They would have already been suicidal beforehand. Anyone who would commit suicide after listening to (any) kind of music wasn't stable to begin with.
