I'm sick of these award shows. Why don't teachers, clerks, factory workers, and all other hard workers get recognized? Aren't celebrities already getting enough recognition(and Money?)

i don't find any point in ANY awards "show".
gimme the basic results, and my life is fulfilled.

1) These awards shows are sales pitches for albums, movies, TV shows - in turn ad revenue, and so on. They are "industry" awards, there is a business word there.
2) Also, how can we vote on the best firefighter of the year w/o reading a bio of all firefighters. Most people expect that they should do their job because it is their responsibility and are not looking for an award.
3) These award things are cute sometimes, but they are just a way for people to glamorize themselves.

They do. Well, our local TV stations have award shows for people who go out of their way to do good for the community, or for excellent teachers. Not specifically for clerks and factory workers... :) I agree with you, though. The celebs get $30,000 worth of free stuff just for attending the award shows. That's more than my yearly salary when I worked outside the home!

Quit going to the movies, quit watching television, quit buying music CD's, quit downloading music, quit buying designer clothes, etc and the entertainment business will die and hence no more award shows. It's called talent and 99% of the public doesn't have a single ounce so quit complaining about things that you don't have. I just wish I could dance but I don't have any talent for that either.......
