If price is not really an issue, what would be a good travel laptop? I am not a fan of 12.1" screens. I currently have 14.1" screen (HP Compaq nc6220). I also think 15.4" widescreens are too big. btw, are widescreen laptops any good? They might be good for watching movies, but, would they hinder work (I found the keyboard to be too big).

I have seen dell, HP, Lenovo, Vaio, but couldn't zero on any single laptop. Any input would be good.

Take another look at the e1505 from dell. Excellent price and a 20% off $999 coupon from http://www.24houredeals.com/Dell-coupons-23-mer.html I have 2 Dell laptops and they work great.

Good Luck.

You should look into a Mac. I have a 15" Powerbook that I've had for a year and a half and it still runs perfectly, even after all the recording and movie editing I've done. The new ones are incredible. You can get a screen with 12", 15", or 17". Macs are very lightweight, much slimmer that any other laptop. They're a little difficult to get used to, but after a couple of days you will be in love with it. There's a reason they're a bit more expensive, but remember that you get what you pay for (and price is not an issue, right?).

I have a 17" HP dv9000t series and it is great, it is a little heavy though for use during traveling. I like the built in WIFI. Battery life is about 2.5 hrs, which seems a little short but there is a car adapter and an extra battery is not that much.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Mac's, especially their WIFI security, which can be important when traveling. People that have them are really happy to have them.

Good luck.

There are no regulations for vacationing with a pc. on the TSA counter, you would be asked to place the laptop, batteries put in, interior the plastic field for x-ray. do no longer positioned the workstation on your checked bags. besides probable harm, it may in no way happen back.

Yeah Switch to Mac. Depending on your needs you won't be dissapointed with a MacBook or a MacBook Pro!

I would definitely go with a Macintosh laptop. They are great and incredibly stable.

IBM x60. Thin, light and powerful. Plus IBM's (Lenovo) are pretty durable.
