it's not the distance that ruins the relationship. it's a lack of communication. do you two communicate well? respect one another? trust is very important too. as long as you both make an effort you'll be fine.

if the connection between the two pepole is true and strong enough then yes, i do believe that long distance realationships can survive. Plus the summer is not too far away. And its good that you look out for your sons' best interest. Things will work out, if they are meant to be. Remember that. - hoops

I would have to say yes that long distance relationships can survive...if not then HOW did all of us "baby boomers" get born if our fathers who were serving in WWII didn't come back home to our mothers after being overseas for two years?

Its only a couple of months away, sit tight, email, phone and write, it will go very quickly and you will be together again. If you were going away to college, it would be totally different.
