1st thing to do is to check for a warranty, the dealer has extended the warranty on some of them to 70k., otherwise, 3/36. Labor is between 5.9-6.2 hrs, parts approx $140 list for a complete gasket set from felpro. Plus misc. parts, coolant, oil will need to be changed, suggest oil pump drive gear o-ring while apart if leaking. Figure any where around 600-700 dollars

it depends which intake. Grand ams have 2. a upper intake manifold, and a lower intake manifold. i'm assuming its the lower, sinse most of the time on these motors it is. i'd say no more then about $800. i did mine myslef, its not too hard. personally, i'd try doing it yourslef. get a repair manual, and a buddy that kinda knows what he's doing, and go to town. just make sure you mark all your bolts properly so you know whats what when you put it back together. and take your time. no rush.
good luck

most likely you have a 3.4 engine , not a 3.1 or 3.8 in a grand am, and generally it costs about 600-700 . make sure they also change the oil pump drive oring while they have it apart, will save you from doing that later

i own a repair shop, and been at this for 36 years, and it don't cost over 700 to have this done,if it does then i been cheating myself out of a lot of money,.i do these all the time for 450 parts and labor all included ,it might cost that much if you go to a dealer, but an independent shop ,500 or less, and they,ll do as good of work as a dealer will ,if not better, because they don't want it coming back for the same problem, those cars aren't that hard to work on,i dunno why mechanics charge that much to do this job,you can use my quote and it may save you some money.good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

It all depends on what engine you have. I will assume you have a 3.1 or 3.8 and I would suspect that repair to run approximately
$650.00
