LISTEN: if you have a 1GALLON to 1.5GALLON tank, only use 2-3 drops of 'ICK-AWAY'!Trust me,i have two betta's and i have that ickaway stuff too.after 24 hours, which is the next day, change 50% percent of the water,ok?Which is half the tank,no matter how big or small ur tank is.That is all.GOOD LUCK.
[if youre tank is from 2-4 gallons and such, just add a few more drops, and so on]
You kno what helps too?aquarium salt;it's in walmart too,for like a buck and some cents.sprinkle only a little of this salt in your tank in your next water change,it's good for thier gills and keeps them healthy.
hope this helps.

Your tank looks like it might be about 2.5 gallons? Next to a gallon jug, does this look about right? If I remember from my chemistry days, a drop is something like 1/2 ml, so that would be like 2 drops. Anyway, the doseage would be about a drop per gallon. Tank temp should be around 80o. If there's a filter, take out any carbon/charcoal before treating - also any live plants or snails. In a few day, there shouldn't be any white spots on the fish, but don't change the water right away - any medication only works on the parasite when it's in the water, not when it's on the fish, so you want to make sure you get it all before removing the medication. Raising the temperature speeds up the life cycle, so the parasites drop off the fish sooner.
I'm not familiar with the product you're using. If it's got malachite green as an igredient, it should work. I've only used Quick Cure, it's got malachite green and formalin (also should be available at WalMart).

i can't get the picture of your tank to come up and can't see your fish well enough to see the ich. it looks like possible ich but im not 100%. ich looks like little salt grains or sugar crystals on your fish. someone said fuzzy and that is columnaris.
a 2 1/2 gallon tank is 12" x 6" x 8" tall. a dollar bill is roughly six inches so if you can measure it you should know how many gallon it is.
if you have measuring spoons 5 ml is a teaspoon so for a 2 1/2 gallon you would use 1/4 teaspoon.
in addition i use aquarium salt. use 1 1/2 teaspoons disolved in a 2 1/2 gallon tank. don't add undisolved salt -- it will actually burn the fish.
try keeping him as warm as possible. stick him under a lamp and high up at night -- top of a high bookcase or on top of kitchen cabinets -- it is warmer up there.
despite whatever directions are on the bottle you need to treat the fish for at least a week after you don't see anymore ich spots. the salt is a one time deal. you don't have to add daily salt.
ich goes in 3 stages. the one on your fish isn't cureable. they will drop to the bottom of your tank (why it is important to keep your tank very clean right now) and on the bottom they break up into 1000s of little ichs looking for a host. this is when you can kill them with salt and meds. the cycle runs a lot faster if you keep him warm -- i read somewhere its 20 days at 70 degrees and 4 days at 85 degrees. you don't want to boil your fish though.

5mL is a teaspoon. depending on the size of the drop it can vary. so the best thing to do is to get a teaspoon and fill it drop by drop, counting every drop. if your tank is 1 gallon then you need a tenth of a teaspoon and so you'll need to divide however many drops it took to make a teaspoon by ten.
I'm not sure what size your tank is, so I can't help farther than that. however, I'd recommend if your tank isn't big enoguh for a heater getting one that is big enoguh for a heater if your fish lives until tomorrow. start the meds ASAP though, he doens't look good.
get a heater and thermometer. slowly raise the temp to about 85°F. this will make the parasites jump off the fish and when they hit the water the meds will kill them. works great. also adding a little less than half a teaspoon of aquarium salt to every gallon of tank water will help a lot.

Just as an easy measurement to remember 5ml = 1 teaspoon so a 2.5 gallon tank would need a 1/4 teaspoon. Bet you can find that in the kitchen ;) If not use a regular spoon you eat with and put about 1/4 in your tank.
The posts above (Copperhead & Kylie Anne) are right on target otherwise go with what they told you.

Your fishy is not looking too good. If you have him in a bowl, its probably about a gallon or so, therefore you need a tenth of a dose of ick away. He doesnt really look like he has the ick. Does he have white fuzzy dots on him...that is what ick looks like. You need to make sure you use either bottled water or aquasafe with tap water, otherwise, the chlorine in tap water will make him sick. His water needs to be changed about once per week. The aquasafe is very very important, btw. I hope everything works out for the little fellow.

when you change the water make sure it close to the same temp as the tank. When you use the med. for ick you need to take out the filter before you treat it and wait until the ick is gone before you put the filter back in
