most of the average people who make up the bulk of the world are not answering people, they are herded cattle in the middle between the 3% of the basket cases that are suspect and the 3% are the other end that are the elite and have too much answers to stop and diagnose advice they themselves don't inturperate in input, the zombies of average person is just a dead pool of working people who are well off enough to know their fragile selective education and defences has it limitation in openness of any kind, when you say u can go deep on the bell curve of emotional ups and down it is very understandable in view of i who has this as a keystone buried in me~but to see a warm smiling friend and think they want to chat has forgone conclusions when you stall out like a dropped call on the TV commercials~remember the generation that answered a question by asking a question~that was almost an instant head ache to deal with them too~the best stuff coming out of the think tanks is killer stuff~Anna Nicole was just as much dead FROM THE AMERICAN LEGAL SYSTEM AS STRESS IS ALL THEY PROVIDE AS LAW MANIPULATES VICTIMS THE SECOND TIME AROUND

Well if you are dealing with a psycho, you certainly do not want to chance the worse case scenario. But if you are dealing with calm rational individuals, it is best to address things head on. And if you are concerned about how you will be perceived, you can confront without seeming adversarial.

Dale Carnegie was a motivational speaker (is still very popular today) and one of his famous sayings was "determine what's the worst thing that can happen". That doesn't bother me because I took his expensive course years ago. If you prepare for the worst thing that can happen then you should feel better no matter what happens.
Of course you could always list all the things that "might" happen in a situation and be prepared for all of those.

Yeah, because you have already contemplated the worst that can happen, and you don't want it to and that's why you don't confront them... You are trying to get a more definitive point of view, but it's hard b/c it's not them that are going to suffer the consequence, it's you....

I don't think some people understand your position. They don't don't what it's like to REALLY be in the situation.
I always think of the wosrt case scenario though, so I can ensure that I can try to avoid it the best I can ♥

I have a huge issue with confronting people....In my opinion, it's just my personality. I am not a strong personality that is able to confront someone....I would rather avoid that situation completely.

I don't think it would be a good idea to enter into any confrontation, with a negative thought!

Nope, I live my life by "What's the worst that can happen?" If the answer isn't death then its worth the risk.
