My pick is that they will take Darrelle Revis from Pitt. The play of Ike Taylor was VERY inconsistent, and DeShea Townsend played well, but was injury-prone last year, so they need a solid, shut-down cornerback with speed, so they will probably draft Revis witht their first pick.

Just for the heck of it I went through 40 mock drafts and took a tally of what player it had us taking and here's what I came up with...
Darrelle Revis - 8
Quentin Moses- 6
Jarvis Moss- 5
Reggie Nelson- 3
Ad-am Carricker- 3
Justin Blalock- 3
Patrick Willis- 2
Charles Johnson- 2
Amobi Okoye - 2
Leon Hall
Ryan Kalil
Marcus McCauley
Patrick Willis
Lamarr Woodley
Gaines Adams
Laron Landry
Jammal Anderson
Trade up w/ SF for Jake Long (yeah right)
I didn't do the legwork, that was SteelCurtan75. Personally, I hope either Moses or Moss. Both are that DE/LB hybrid type that can play the 4-3 or the 3-4

With the recent retirement of center Jeff Hartings I think the Steelers will look for a center in the draft. Ryan Kalil from USC will be a late first round pick, so the Steelers could even trade down and pick him up. I think a new free safety would be helpful, maybe a Reggie Nelson or my boy Dawan Landry from LSU. They should take Kalil though.

I would say either Leon Hall (that is, if he is left that far into the draft) or Darelle Revis, who has been in Pittsburgh throughout his life. They are both cornerbacks, which is a very high priority for the Steelers. Those are the two top choice for draft picks, unless someone amazing drops down much further then they are predicted.

here's how i view pittsburgh's roster:
QB: as far as needing a qb, you can take that idea and shove it. not only do the steelers have a rising star in roethlisberger, but a solid backup in charlie batch, who is undefeated in his starts for the steelers. in the unending quest for a 3rd string qb, the steelers may take one in a later round, or just stick with st. pierre or omar jacobs.
WR: i love how everyone was up in arms last year when the steelers drafted santonio holmes in the first round. they said that the steelers' recieving corp was solid and that they should have picked lendale white instead (who hasn't done jack-didley this year by the way.) the steelers could use another wideout, but not for anything above #3, so a 1st or 2nd round draft pick could be better used on defenseor the o-line.
o-line: i think that the steelers should pick up a lineman either in the draft or free agency, but i'm not sure that they need a center. kendall simmons has been taking reps at center nad rookie marvin phillips is still sitting in the wings behind chucky okabi. fellow rookie willie colon can play either guard or tackle, so he can fill in for simmons if he takes over the center position. faneca is getting old, so it would be good to pick up another young guard to be his heir-apperent.
defensive line: brett keiselis good enough and i think aaron smith is underrated. the de position may be addressed on day two. tomlin may want another dt for a 4-3 defense after lebeau retires
safety: polamalu has Strong safety locked down, and mike logan is a solid backup. at free safety, there is ryan clark, who is a solid starter who knows his responsibilities with polamalu roaming the field. anthony smith is coming along as a ball hawk who can be another weapon for lebeau if he stays long enough for smith to develope. i think the steelers are set ant safety.
lb: the linebacker corp is one of the best in the league, but behind harrison, there are no solid backups. the steelers might grab one in the 3rd round or on day 2.
corner: townsend is getting older and is not as sharp as he may have been. taylor plays in the highs and lows of the season, so he's not as consistent as he should be. i think the steelers will trade down a few spots in the 1st round for a few late picks and pick up aaron ross from texas. they may pick up a 2nd corner in the draft with a later pick just to see if he can make the team.
rb: the steelers could use another pounder like bettis, but that style of back is hard to come by. a fb may find himself on the steelers' roster to try to take that role. kreider may be able to do it, but he doesn't get as many carries as he could.
special teams: the steelers are fine in this department. reed is an underrated reliable kicker and gardocki can still knock the ball 45+ yards.
I think that the steelers picks will go as follows
1)trade back for 5th rounder-db probably aaron ross
2)trade for 3rd and 4th round picks
3a)o-lineman
3b)linebacker
4a)de
4b)dt
5a)wr
5b)o-lineman
6)db
7)qb
