I have had 5 ultrasounds and all said that my baby was a girl. I've also heard it from two different doctors in two different states...(not that it changes anything), but could they still be wrong?
What are the chances that my precious little girl will be a boy?
I feel guilty because I have become so attached to the fact that my baby is a girl that if she is infact a he I think I wouldn't be as attatched...and a little disappointed.
Is that bad?

I had 5 ultrasounds because my doctors couldn't see her heart because the arm was in the way plenty of times.

I'm just all of the sudden worried because I was supposed to be a boy and my mom said she felt less attatched to me when I was born because she spent so much time waiting for her boy.

look, if you have had FIVE (!!) ultrasounds that all suggest it is a girl, I think that's pretty much a safe bet.

BUT... things can always hide. It is easier to tell if it's a boy because, well, once you've seen male 'plumbing' (for want of a better term!), there's no doubt about it. It's a boy. You kind of just have to look for the absence of male parts to work out, by deduction, that it's a girl.

So, that being said, I think if it were a boy they would have noticed SOMETHING in those ultrasounds.

Do not worry about attachment or disappointment. The moment your little one is born you will fall head over heels in love with it, be that a girl or a boy! A mother's love overides everything, including (and especially) gender. Do not feel guilty, the fact that you are so concerned only indicates how much you love this child already and want to do the best for it.

congratulations and good luck xx

If all five said girl, I think your chances are pretty good as for being attatched if it is a boy, a lot of people have a preference as to what they would like the baby to be. But that doesn't mean that the minute that baby is born whether it is a boy or a girl, you will not fall head over heals in love. It may feel like you would not be attatched, but I assure you would be. Dont worry, boy or girl you will love your child, but I would say your chances are pretty good you are getting what you want anyway.

I think you can go ahead and relax knowing that you're having a daughter. I doubt that there will be that many different people saying girl from that many different ultrasounds and it be wrong.
I did have one ultrasound that was said it was "probably" a girl because they didn't see anything sticking out. Good think I had another ultrasound later and found out otherwise because i've got 4 boys and no girls.
I think it would be awful hard for so many ultrasounds to be wrong though.

First of all, once that glorious baby of yours is in your arms...you'll be madly in love with it..boy or girl.
How far along are you?
Generally if you've had that many ultrasounds I'd say they are pretty much going to be spot on. Of course, nothing is 100% until baby is delivered.
If you see three lines or a three dots etc, you can pretty much assume you have a baby girl. By 20 weeks plus, your babys genetalia are well developed enough and the scrotum has dropped to definately tell if it's a boy or not.
Good Luck.

Although there is a possibility, your chances of it being a boy are slim to none. You've already had multiple ultrasounds at different levels of the pregnancy. It's likely that the doctor(s) would have noticed the difference by now.

You will love your child regardless of the gender. Just wait and see.

I dont think its bad. Some woman are worried that their doctors say the wrong sex of the baby. For example, when my mother was pregnant with my sister the doctors told my mother its a boy..when my sis came out they discovered she was a girl instead. That was 21 years ago though. Most recently, ultrasounds/technology has improved alot. I dont think you should worry at all.

Be happy if it's a boy. It'll probably be a girl though, unless your child is being shy 5 times in a row. But boys are entirly better. They're more built to plow snow and rake leaves and mow lawns and what not than girls. But I'm certain you'd love the little guy just as much as a girl.

I wouldn't say it was bad. I doubt it will be a boy though. 5 ultrasounds is a lot. Anyways, ask your doctor this.

Your baby girl, is indeed, probably a baby girl.

Anyways, do a google search for "percentage of wrong ultrasounds"

5 ultrasounds! I only got one! They are very accurate. On my ONE, they said I'm having a boy...he was a boy. I think I would have been content with the sex with the second one. What are they doing give you five? Insurance only usually covers one.

Would you really be disappointed if it were a boy? I mean, I know what you are expecting, but this will be your child. Boys are quite wonderful in their own right. I'm very happy I had a boy.

I think most likely that if you were told 5 times it was a girl...she will be a girl. I don't think your mom should have told you that... when my mom was pregnant with me, she was told I was a boy. She set up the boy nursery, I was going to have my fathers name... and then I popped out a girl. My dad was just as thrilled so was my mom. I think whatever you end up having you will love the little one with all your heart. Don't listen to your mom! Good luck. :)
