It's fixed as far as who wins / loses and it is basically a performance art- hence Mcmahon has pushed the term sports entertainment, but it is very dangerous- the wrestlers have to actually work together to prevent real injuries, but sometimes there are bad landings, which can be career or even life threatening. The blood is real but it comes from cuts which are made with razorblades hidden in wristbands etc. The punches are usually faked, but sometimes they do catch each other accidentally and sometimes they're just rough like JBL who would sometimes go out to hurt people. The chairs are real but they usually hit them in the back which lessens the impact by spreading it across a wide area. The tables are often weakened to help them fall apart, and items such as Jeff Jarretts guitar and HHH's sledgehammer aren't the real thing. When they get thrown wrestlers usually land on their backs and places that can take their weight- a lot of the moves that have the wrestler going down head first have been banned or limited by WWE for years- hardly any tombstone piledrivers now except by Undertaker and maybe Kane. Still, considering how many times a WWE wrestler performs in a year it is so easy to get something wrong and the results could be potentially fatal- I think its unfair when people just dismiss it like its a pantomime. The nearest thing that is fully real are Mixed Martial Arts shows such as Ultimate Fighting Championship but there is much less action in there, and I find it's not very entertaining as the fights are so similar.

The majority if it is scripted, some is put in on the spur of the moment and some of the punching, kicking, chair shots, etc is staged but as in the case with Hardcore Holly, that was very very real. The man was busted open badly from landing through the table.
They are trained how to land, etc but someone can miss their cue and the whole move can go wrong.

The moves the wrestlers do to each other don't hurt as badly as they pretend, but they're still no picnic. And the wrestlers really are, to varying degrees, athletes who are performing difficult stunts. Though the results are always predetermined, what happens in the match is not always perfectly scripted ahead of time. For example, two wrestlers might go into a match knowing which of them will win, who will start out dominant, who will interfere in the match, and what move will finish off the loser. The wrestlers will make up the rest of the match as they go along, in accordance with their skills and how the match is going. The wrestlers will often whisper moves to each other during the match, and they generally cooperate to make the match look good. They rarely use fake blood in matches. The most common way for wrestlers to make themselves bleed is to keep a razor blade taped up on their wrists, hands, or fingertips, which is then exposed when it's time for them to cut themselves.

It is combination of wrestling and acting, as you can see most of the time the punch and kick not even reaches each other but they threw around they face as if it was been hit. But sometimes thing do goes wrong and there fore lead to blood which is real. If it was real all the old player like Hogan would turn into vegetable long ago like Mohummad Ali.
M Ali got real punch so he turn into veggie faster!!

nearly all of it is scripted. The fighting is fake, mostly. The punches arent real cause usually someone would swell up if got punched. The kicks arent real, nether is the stomping. Chair shots are OF COURSE REAL! but they may not hurt. same with tables. other things like chops to the chest and getting hit with a kendo stick or singpore cane is real and hurts!

well it's real in the sense that its not mythical, as in a unicorn or whatever. the wrestlers are really just actors. realy strong actors. that have special training and rehearsals for their matches, which are staged and predetermined
