Farming. Rather then let free market conditions dictate price, politicians creat artifical shortages or levies on certain products to keep the price high. They feel it allows all the producers to stay in business.

The environmentalists restrict the US from building any more oil refineries or from getting american oil so we are forced to get it from other countries.

oil companys....power company's...if oil wasnt you could not afford to buy it (greed)....
