I agree with diamond...take her to a nice dinner or cook a meal yourselves so she doesn't have to do it for a change...and, clean up your mess.

I've read some of these answers and want to remind everyone that this is Valentine's Day, not Mother's Day. That's when the really special time for mom's is.

I read that your mom isnt too girly but i found this great site that makes jewlery with your names on it for that someone special. If you want the link its...www.limogesjewelry.com. maybe you can find something not too girly that fits her.

From the kids and father to a mom?
Simple respect is a gift I should have given my mom.
Why not make her a littel 'coupon book' with random things.
'One free Chore.' 'One Foot massage' 'One hour of quiet time'
Just a few little things that your mom could use.

get her something like a gift card, a store thats she really likes, if she doesnt have a specific store thing, then pick a store that has her smile. and make sure its over $150 in the gift card!

maybe you guys can let her have a day to herself. start off by making her breakfast and doing laundry and the house cleaning. things like that dont really seem much of a big deal but i did that last year for my mom ans she liked it more, then it also has a lil more meaning than sumthing you buy at a store.

Well for me, flowers or candy or perfume always work well...

I don't know your mother's age or health status, but maybe a nice dinner out at her favorite restaurant, or a collection of photos of the family in a nice framed arrangement...

the siblings should make her something, not dinner but something she can keep for many years. the dad should gather as many pictures as possible of her life, when she was a baby,to the present day, kind of like her life story in pictures.

what I think would be sweet is you taking her out to dinner or doing something for her that takes alot of effort, so you're showing that you tried really hard to give her a happy valentines day

Depending on the type of mom, you can give her coupons that make you do things, like:

1.)clean your room.
2.) get off the phone.
3.) give her a hug
4.)etc.

mom's love to play with em.
