Here the cheapest and safest places in Edmonton. Some you may have to purchase a hostelling card for approx $25.00. All of them are convenient to transit. You would NOT want to stay at a regular hotel or motel if it was that cheap in this city.
You will notice several of these are in the Whyte Ave/University area where you can access uniqure shopping and the club life. The one Downtown is in a really convenient place for everything. Hope these help. I suggest calling well in advance.
Good Luck

Okay if it's $16/a night--do not stay there!!!
Hotels/motels in Edmonton that are that cheap are not in a good part of town.

There's a place called the "sunshine motel" or something like that on Calgary trail and about 55th, it's a nutorious for housing drug dealers and prositutes; I can't imagine it's much more than that a night.

Do not be cheap, it is not worth it. Good places are worth paying for. Only couples who are having a sordid sinfull one night stand look for such cheap places or junkies.
Why the need for a cheap place for a few hours. Any relationship based on secrecy and deception is displeasing to God.
