No, of course not. Real friends are there for you. They help you with your problems, and they listen when you need to talk. They are there for you in good times and bad times, too.

If something that you are doing is so bad that your friend has to remind you of it everything, chances are you should be listening to them. If they just generally like mouthing off at you for no reason, time for them to cut the trail-this kind of person is not a friend.

NO, I have a so called friend who always talks about how well her son used to do at my sons age knowing my son has autism. I feel like slapping her and saying if you were a real friend you would mind your manners!

people tend to try to pull themselves up by putting other people down. no thats not "true friend" behavior. but i bet there is a person who considers themselves friends with you but you dont and tries to act cool in front of you and you just nudge them away. a friend is a person who u feel is on the same social level as u. u cant feel inferior or superior. and they have to feel the same way too. we all feel superior to some people and inferior to other people just because its part of humanity. its not fair to the "inferior person" but it happens-- and it happens a lot.

Yes. In fact, if I remember right, that is the actual definition of "real friend" on wikipedia.

No. Sounds like they build themselves up by putting you down. Who needs a friend like that.

Yep. A true friend is supposed to kick you when you are down, then help you get up. I need new friends...
