A full bottle of water would be too tempting and a less-than-half bottle of water is not enough to deal with.
Once a bottle of water becomes warm or room temperature, it is useless unless you are on fire.

If you are the one who put the bottles there, you are the only one who can decide if there is a point to it. It's really very simple, either you need them there (although I can't imagine why), or you don't. If you don't, get rid of them.
