I went to the doctor and took a urine testand it came back negative is there possible that i can still be pregnant the last time i had intercourse was on friday and my last period was jan. 8, 2007. i was supposed to come on last week but didnt can it still be to early to tell or should i wait to test again or just give up.

It is possible that that you might still be preg. With my first son I took, 7 home tests, they all came out neg, a test at the health dept, came out neg, a urine test at the doc office, came out neg, and finally a blood test, come to find out I was 3 1/2 months pregnant. So there is a chance that you are preg and a chance that it might be to early. But keep checking!!

Some women don't show up positive on home pregnancy test for a long time. Pregnancy hormones just aren't sensitve enough to be detected.
If you still dont have your period next week, try a blood test called a beta at your doctors office, that will tell you straight away if you are pregnant or not.
Anything is possible, so don't give up hope if being pregnant is what you want.
Sometimes ovulation can be delayed due to stress or sickness and that will then delay your period too. Good Luck

It is possible that the hormone is not strong enough to be detected. Very early on it may not be detected, but if you are more than a week late for you period most test will detect the hormone. There is almost no possibility of a false negative. any sign of the hormone even if it is a miscarriage shown positive. a false positive is many more time likely. of course if you do not start your cycle, another test in a week is always a good idea. a blood test is more acurate earlier on than a urine test.

You should take another one a week from your appointment if you still haven't started your period. The urine tests they use at the doctor's office are the same as the store bought ones, so you can save money by just getting a home test. Try First Response, they have been more accurate for me. EPT never was a good one I think.

You're period is late, so if you were pregnant it should have showed up on the test. I would test again next week if you still don't get your period. If it says your negative again, then you're not pregnant.

Get tested again. Maybe you're too early to tell. Don't stop getting tested until you find out why your period hasn't come.
