If this is the way life is suppose to be, why haven't we gotten better at what or who we want to spend our lives with. If this is the great mystical point to life, then I will raise my fist to the sky when I am in heaven.

In my life I'd need obstacles. I know that obstacles are what makes me strong throughout every sec., mins., hours., days, weeks, months, and maybe even years. Risks. Dilemmas. Those "fluffs" that forms the adventures throughout the crazy road. The coincidential tome. The mysterious eye. Life

o.o what did I just say?

If there is a reasonable hope that when you go through the chemo and radiation you have a decent chance at several years, that is what I'd choose. If the prognosis was poor, say, the second recurrence of cancer or a spread to the liver or brain or bone, I'd just enjoy life as long as I could and make sure I got good pain killers. I would also use the time to make sure my family was at peace with my decision and to say good bye and mend any fences I may need to. I would check out hospice care and make any arrangements for end care while I had the energy.

Those of us who are not insane (doing the same things over and over again expecting different results as per Benjamin Franklin), are consciously trying to get better at what and who we are. And if you think about it, we have massively evolved from primal apes. There are two things as evolved people that we have to constantly battle (and sometimes it's largely uphill). One, our instinctual nature, (such as a man's need to conquer and sequester) and two, the mistakes of our nuclear families (childhood traumas that shape our emotional health). Something that is beautiful and wholly unique about life is the constant adaptation, change, and evolution. Do not raise your fist to the sky when you are in heaven, high-five God and thank Him for the awesome ride!:)

Life is cause and effect....all actions have a reaction. Think of all possible consequences before you do anything important, and then plan accordingly. You do have freedom to choose and are not a helpless speck, so stop wasting your time and live for your most productive self. Best wishes

When someone said to the poet Voltaire: "Life is hard!"
Voltaire responded, "As compared to what?"

It is the first time I have heard a complaint about choices. We may groan because there are too many of them, but I prefer that over none at all.

Your path in life is based on the choices you make. If you're not happy with your life, make choices that will lead you to a happier end. As the old song says, "life is a journey, not a destination"
