I work with this guy and he is getting married real soon. He already have one 2y/o daughter, and another child on the way, Well he tells his fiance that he works late every night. I worked with this guy for about a month now and I have met his fiance. They are a great couple but in a months time he went out with 17 other women and he had slept with them all. Every day there has always been someone new that picks him up from work. What drives people to do some crazy things like that? A person that has the whole world in his hand and they screw things up so bad that it's unrepairable especially when children are involved. It really puzzles me when people do things like this! Honest answers and replies please!

He obviously is not satisfied with his life, and thinks that he can solve his problem with what you have said.

What the above leads to is misery, endless years of it. He may be 'happy' now, but sooner or later, things change...

He'll be divorsed in no time at all. Hell, there may not even be a wedding.

It's hard to say. Some people who seem to 'have it all' and seem on the path bent on screwing it up ... are narcissists, prone to thinking they got it all and can 'do no wrong'/'will be able to smooth it over' or even that no one other person is anything but dispensible and should only be around for convenience. By contrast, some people get things going well but have not confidence/faith in their ability to sustain it all, so they 'push the envelope' and do things to 'test the waters' and see what will/won't push 'em from the cushy situation; sometimes those people "need" a sort of "See, I told you so - this success ain't possible for me."

Whatever we see going on, then, it's a challenge and a reminder to us - we who have and appreciate priorities must never take good things for granted. Likewise, because soooo many factors come into play, sometimes seeing this is a remidner not to judge others for what *we* see them as having.

(This reminds me of an Edwin Arlington Robinson poem called "Richard Cory," where the lead character is wealthy and admired and looked upon as above and apart from all around him. Well, that gets lonely - that distance they create because of their image of him. So while the commoners scrimp and save to have things and be more like him -- he commits suicide.)

Anyway, most people who commit these acts (of lunacy?) are sadly simply immoral, whether thoughtlessly so or intentionally. But to move beyond it and learn, let's take satisfaction not so much in a confident moral high ground as in knowing we work to holdo n to all things precious and enjoy the positive moments we can!

Wow! I don't know what causes it, but I feel very sorry for her. My friends husband goes behind her back to do drugs, which she does not approve of. It's not really the same thing, but he knows if he gets caught, thier marrage is over. They have a beautiful home, but more importantly, a wonderful12year old daughter. Everytime he slips up, he's one step closer to losing it all, yet it doesn't seem to phase him.

I suppose after they are married, she will start becoming a *itch and doing everything wrong and he is going to be the most honest, faithful person in the world right. Please get the proof that he is cheating and bring it to her before the wedding. Don't put her and the children through this.

Wow. Catch him with photos and send them anonymously to his fiance. What a lonely sad life she will have he is like that in their marriage. They should have planned better with the kid. He should step up and take responsibility. You should save her from the horror if at all possible.

first off consider the fact that you work with this guy.
second consider if you like this girl or not.
third. if he is sleeping with all of these women he could be getting and giving an std if not aids.
i would tell her to keep a lookout at work to see who is picking him up.
i'd want to know.
