The Koran spoke highly of love for your neighbors, and equality of woman...
many later priests, who felt that woman were lesser then men, misinterpretted key sentences in the Koran to pursuade people that the Koran was really meaning things that were more sexist and anti-woman's rights.. however non-biased researchers of the Koran can tell from analysis that the Koran never meant that at all..
"1. The right and duty to obtain education.
2. The right to have their own independent property.
3. The right to work to earn money if they need it or want it.
4. Equality of reward for equal deeds.
5. The right to express their opinion and be heard.
6. The right to provisions from the husband for all her needs and more.
7. The right to negotiate marriage terms of her choice.
8. The right to obtain divorce from her husband, even on the grounds that she simply can't stand him. (pls note that God deeply frowns upon divorce as a solution unless there is hardly any other alternative but it does not mean that men have more right to divorce their wives than women do.)
9. The right to keep all her own money (she is not responsible to maintain any relations).
10. The right to get sexual satisfaction from her husband.
11. custody of their children after divorce.
12. to refuse any marriage that does not please them"

The priests speak lies about the bible's stance on gay marriage and abortion too... religion has become a way of minipulating vulnerable people to vote a certain way on political issues... its sickening...
We live in the 21st century.. people are tricky and you cannot trust anyone..
Its no longer about what something says, its about how people interpret what is trying to be said...
no im not saying that the Americans conspired some thing to teach in High School... im saying someone down the line in China may have manipulated the words of the Manifesto so that they could pursuade others to follow their personal sexisms...
knowing that it is the "Communist" Manifesto, and the writer of that book was involved in the deaths of millions of people near the Stalin age... its not surprising he would be sexist also...
it may be kinda hard to say that.. Oh yea, he killed several million people, enslaved his working citizens on communal farms, and assassinated anyone who he presumed to be an "enemy" in any form...but, he wasnt all that bad.. he thought that woman should have equal rights as men...
