well it all depends on what your gonna be doing with your computer if you plan on gaming and you choose AMD just because they have a stronger gaming cpu then you have to have a good gaming graphics card which it probably wont since its a Acer so HP is ALOT BETTER than Acer cause they gave great customer support and i mean GREAT so if you plan on gaming with it you have to get the comp that has the better graphics card so atleast 128mb of nvidia or ati but if your not gonna be using games and stuff then intel dual core is a great processor

I much prefer Toshiba and HP over Acer. Better made and more reliable in my experience.

AMD and Intel, truthfully, will work jsut as well. Most people cannot tell the difference.

No, that's an antiquated POS.....carry out for a P4. I have been given my HP Pavillion ZX5000 Pentium 4 HT 3.2 GHz with 2 gigs of RAM for $350 used. and that's greater efficient than maximum i've got considered for purely $500.

if your a hardcore gamer go for intel, but it tends too cost too much. if you just want web surfing, go for AMD septron 2800 if you want top notch both, go for Amd athalon 64 or intel core 2 duo
