Well, obviously...bruch your teeth & gargle with Listerine daily.
Also, go to local health food store & buy a supplement called "Chlorophyll". It removes bad breath, body odor, foot odor & any other kind of unpleasant smell from the body, while being very healthy for the body at the same time. It is sweet tasting.

You need to brush your tongue because that is a major reason for bad breath ( unless you have some other bad health or rotten teeth )
you can even buy tooth brushes today to help brush your tongue by just turning the brush over
anyway brush your tongue every morning & at bedtime & also have a mint etc & you will not have a bad breath except first thing in the morning or even with the flu etc

The only way you can get better smelling breath is by using mints or gum. Brushing your teeth for me doesn't work for more than 10 minutes.

Most people who have bad breath have already tried gum and mints all the time. I suggest trying Parsley. Buy some fresh stuff at the store and chew on it. It really does work for some reason!. Drinking lot's of water helps with bad breath and also eating lot's of fruits and veggies.

Brush your teeth after each meal and use mouthwash. You can also try using some sort of a breath freshener. I use the sprays alot and quit what ever you doing that makes it stink so bad! LOL!

Go to the dentist. Check out gum disease. It's very common and causes bad breath. Without fixing this nothing else will work for long.

need a longer term solution?
you need to brush your teeth regularly, and also brush your tounge. There is also a herbal pill out there that you can get at any drug store that moderates the bacteria in your digestive system that is causing the bad breath
