How do I tell my mom I want to get into acting...I know she's my mom but I am kinda embarassed! No one knows my secret obsession for acting but even though I am good at it and really want to get on stage or in front of the camera. I live on a small island and I would have to travel and I am only 11 so I would have to go somewhere because I live on a small island with nothing that can help me like that. I need my mom to check out this really good sight that i found but I don't know how to tell her I want to get into the acting career. Can anyone help me?

Communication is a key, let your mother know your desires and your wants in life, be open and starit forward and they will respect you. Remember, talking to your parents is nothing to be ashamed of. You may be nervous but if your mom is understanding, then it should not be that hard.

You should demonstrate to her how serious you are, let your actions speak for you. When your parents see you are passionate about something, or they see you have a special talent or gift, they tend to support you more. If they think you're decision seems flighty, or impetuous, they are more dismissive, and will try to steer you towards something that maeks them more comfortable.

You could start with "Mom, I want to get into acting".

Tell her you are pregnant, but of course you will not be. You will convince her with your super acting skills.
