No it would not be cheating as long as you make sure to put it in your own words and also cite the web address that you pulled your information from otherwise it would be considered plagerism. If you do have any questions about it, ask your parents, school counselor or even your teacher. Good luck on your biography.

No, it is not cheating if, you put in your own words, which is called "paraphrasing", or you quote it. Either way, if you get information from that source, you need to cite it. If not, it is considered plagarism, which can get you in a lot of trouble. But be sure that it is truly your own work and not just the exact biography with a couple of words changed.

ok i think thats it too late now for you to know whether its cheating or not. u have an assignment due tom and u cant right a whole biography. What i would do is read the first paragraph then summarize it. read the next one and summarise it. the key is putting the paper down and just writing what you just read. Dont copy and paste because you will get confused. just read, put down, and write.

Well I wouldn't say it was cheating just as long as you rephrase it. When rephrasing anything you shouldn't use more than three of the same words in a row. Also MAKE SURE if you do this that you cite any materials you used in your paper or use them as references. If not this is grounds for plagiarism which people take very seriously. Plagiarism can be grounds for imprisonment. So be careful doing this.

If you put it in your own words that would be fine. If you choose to copy any part of the biography word for word, make sure and put it in quotes and naming your source in a footnote

Of course not... all school projects are is looking stuff up and putting it in your own words. What else are you supposed to do? Make up the entire thing out of your head?

No. Of course not! It's not cheating because you handed it in your own words. What else are you supposed to do, give in the exact copy or even give in something that you made up, absolutely not! What you did was the right thing!

It's border-line plagiarism. Moreover, it will stunt your literary growth- Do the research, get to know your subject, and use your own creativity to write the paper. If you duck this one, you may never apply yourself to your fullest potential again.
And, the majority of time, Professors, teachers, and proctors can tell the difference.

well it all depends. if you take the biography and just change two words on it that would be cheating. but if you put the whole biogrophy in your own words, that would not be cheating.
good luck on your biography111
