Very well deserved win to England. They played the better cricket and got the result and you must give credit where due. It will obviously buoy them going into the WC but it will also spur Australia on to compensate for their defeat. They will take that loss very seriously, and come out with a vengeance. Makes things interesting don't you think ?

I assume this is a cricket question asked in the football forum :-)
It does not matter if their spirit has been lifted - it has only managed to piss off the Australian team who wanted a whitewash.
After winning the ashes the 1 day matches are a come down - they only mattered to the English who were trying to regain some lost pride.
Remember that England won the ashes last time and kept them for a record shortest time.
Beware an Aussie team looking for revenge.

At first I didn't know what in the world you were talking about. I was like, England and Australia played each other?? Two of my favorite teams...When was this?? andygurl: no team has a chance against Australia in cricket.. If Australia puts 100% effort into it, I don't see any team beating them. And its England's character, whatever the sport, to do well in meaningless matches and then when the WC rolls around, a different story unfolds. I don't see any team beating Australia(sorry if thats offensive)but its just an opinion.

We all know Australiya is the word no.1 cricket team. In the England Michale vaun did not play.Aus home town advantage.

England deserves this victory as they are more hungry for it for quite a long time.....Their hard work has given them victory finally!!
