There is no one number. 140 and over is Genius or near genius according to Terman. He wrote the Stanford-Binet test. However, this classification is usually used to supplement other tests. I have seen another test by Weschler which marks 130 as very superior, but doesn't mark a genius level. Still, this test is much more accepted.

Usually considered to be an IQ score of 140 or above.

I believe 140 is what you need to join Mensa .
