I've recently turned 27 and thinking that my youth days are over is effecting me more than I thought it would. I keep thinking that I'm almost 30 and have become extremely sensitive to any comments people make that might imply that my "clock is ticking". I feel just as I felt when I was 15 and I don't see why a number should matter so much. For those who have been through this, please share how you dealt with it?

I know what you mean. It's really weird. I'm 56 and I still look good in jeans, but my face looks like crap. Inside, I still have all the memories I've always had since being a small kid. That's why my spirit just KNOWS there is an eternity. This life is too fleeting.

What does it mean: the clock is ticking? Do you have to live up to everyone's expectation - they feel the clock is ticking; seems like they're the one(s) with the issue, but if you're at the point in your life where you don't even "hear it", don't let others dictates advise you of where you should be in your life.

I'm 47; been there, done that. (I smashed my darn clock already...)

Oh, and happy birthday. Some people who've planned to see their birthday are no longer around...
