I don't think " I'm not ready to make nice" is worth one grammy award, much less five. Does Al Gore and his global warming BS make that pathetic song worth five grammy awards? If so please tell me why. I'm at a loss on this one.

I'm with you, my friend. There are still numerous country stations which refuse to play anything by the Dixie Whores. Give me Toby Keith any day!

The Grammy performers rule. The Dixie Chicks have been promoted via a left-wing conspiracy to subvert the Grammy awards for the liberal schedule. Come on, 5 awards for a protest album of trite music? Please...

You gotta be kidding. The grammy's have never been about awarding worthy music. I mean when people from American Idol are considered its a total joke. I don't like the dixie chicks but at least they are talented singers and players. There songs just blow. And to all those people saying the voters are liberal you don't know what your talking about.
Not to mention public populartiy has nothing to do with winning the award. So this album sales argument and the fact that there not played on country radio means nothing.

The Chicks’ latest CD, Taking the Long Way, has been certified double platinum in the U.S. by the RIAA. It is also triple platinum in Canada, double platinum in Australia, platinum in New Zealand and gold in the U.K. and Ireland. Of all albums released in 2006, Taking the Long Way was the 6th biggest selling disc last year in the U.S. Additionally, “Not Ready to Make Nice” has now been certified a Gold digital single.

UNBELIEVABLE NIGHT! Dixie Chicks went five for five at the 29th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb 11 winning the big three general categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year, as well as Best Country Album and Best Country Performance By a Duo or Group.

CMT has announced that the Dixie Chicks’ “Not Ready to Make Nice” video is a first round nominee in three categories for the upcoming 2007 CMT Music Awards: Video of the Year, Group Video of the Year, and Video Director of the Year .

Welcome to the idealistic, liberal, Hollywood elite, fantasy world of political propaganda.

There is no doubt in my mind - what so ever - that if the Dizzy Chicks had praised Bush and his war on terror in another country - they wouldn't have even got to see the Grammys - let alone be nominated.

Because the Grammy judges disagreed with you. These things happen. Al Gore has nothing to do with it.

Because the whole country is finally waking up and realizing that Bush is bad news.

Crazy isn't it.. The fact that the most pathetic song in the world could be worth millions of dollars.

I think I could use that money more than they could!
