Look, I didn't choose to be white, blue eyed or left handed anymore than I chose to be gay.
I just am.
If people have an issue with it...it's THEIR issue...not mine!

Being gay doesn't cause me any trouble at all...it causes others a bit of discomfort, but that's their issue.

I don't see people getting their panties in a twist over my being left handed, but that's just part of who I am.
Just as being gay is simply a PART of who I am.
If people can't look past it to see the real person I am, then it's their loss. I have plenty of great people in my life to not have to waste my time with those who would only bring me down.

If it bothered me, I'd simply find a new group of people to hang out with.

The question should be am I going throw away my life just because of what other people say?

The desire for a real romantic relationship and to not be a complete fraud/liar is very strong. As for biological children: not everyone wants that, plus it is technically possible.

If you've got both options open to you, you sound a bit bisexual to me. And frankly, I have had periods in my life where I wished I was just so I could make the same choice you did. But, I'm not, and so yes. It really is worth it, because lying to myself and everyone around me is actually worse than having other people lie about me.

Totally worth it.

I'd be throwing away my life if I pretended I wasn't gay and tried to be straight.

I love my life. I have an awesome partner, awesome lovers, a great job and supportive friends and family.

You're just jealous because I've had more women than you'll ever touch.

I think it is not a matter of "being worth it" just that's the way some people are. I honestly believe people would not choose a lifestyle which would lead them to possible violence, humiliation or other prejudice if they had a choice.
