This theory is a lot close to creationism but many argue that it is a common misconception. The theory is actually not supporting evolutionists ideas at all but beleives there is a ssuport force and only macroevolutions take place. mnay creationists like this new theory

"Intelligent design" is a metaphysical or religious theory, thought up by political religionists in an attempt to get by the Supreme Court decision that "creationism" cannot be taught in schools.

It has nothing to do with science, and little to do with intelligence. Certainly no woman who has ever had a baby, nor any person who has ever had back trouble or migraine headaches would believe that we are "intelligently" designed.

Do an internet search on "intelligent design." There are tons of web sites, bit for it and against it.

"Intelligent design" is the notion that the universe, as it exists, is far too complex to have been created randomly. For example, it would ask the following questions, amongst others: "Why is it that two hydrogens and one oxygen just happen to join together to form water? How is it that such a complex ecosystem formed on Earth? Are these the actions of mindless processes of nature or is there some sort of intelligence (God, Allah, Bhudda...call it what you will) that put these forces in place?

Intelligent design is an interesting idea, and it has some support. (If I am not mistaken, there is a mathematical proof that exists that supports the notion of intelligent design). However, since God/Allah/Bhudda cannot be proven or disproven, neither can intelligent design. At this point, it would seem to be more philosophical than scientific.

Intelligent design theory is a suggestion that life on our planet, including humans, was designed and built by someone of higher intelligence than us. There are alternate versions that suggest superhumans, but most think of God.
It has been suggested that the complexity of life is too great to have occurred in the length of time that the universe is supposed to have existed.

It is a list of criticisms of the theory of evolution, and the claim that unexplained phenomena must be due to the intervention of a "intelligent designer". It is advocating the world view that was prevalent before the scientific revolution, that is using divine intervention to explain what is not understood.

Intelligent design is pure nonsense. It is not science. It is the opposite of science, since it is untestable and makes no predictions.
ID says that organisms are so complex that only God could have created them.

It is creationism in disguise.

It is a desperate ploy by theists to claim knowledge without the slightest bit of effort spent acquiring any.

It is an excuse to stop learning and write off everything you don't yet understand to magic.

It is a sin against rational thought and reduces those who promote it to intellectual saboteurs.

my grandfather used to say, "things are not always what they seems to be." you might keep this in mind when investigating this subject.

Good luck.

It is the theory that a god or gods created what we like to call the universe, our lives...etc. In most cases it refuses to acknoledge evolution.

....is not Science.
....is not a theory.

Basically, it says that the evolutionary evidence was laid out in order by 'The Big Guy' himself for the purpose of teaching we humans that he can do any thing, any way, any time. Oh, and the earth is about 12,000 yrs old and humankind has been here about 6,000 years. Ring any bells.
