So I was thinking of what to make my boyfriend for valentines day... I started out by making mini tootsie rolls from scratch but when I made them, the texture wasnt very good and it was way too sweet. Instead of killing my boyfriend with nearly 100% sugar, what other gifts do you guys have in mind?
I was going to put all of the candies into a pretty 500ml jar, and tie the top with ribbon, string but now I need something else that can fit into the jar.. what do you guys have in mind? :)

Also, we've been going out for nearly 1.5 years now. We're not big spenders on valentines day.. something simple, thoughtful and meaningful is what we always go for..

Just an idea, me & my husband are on a tight budget...as far as gifts go, we are picking each other an inexpensive dvd from walmart this year...there are many titles (many romance) for $10 & under..& w/ the Halmark cardmaker I have installed,we made each other really personalized cards.I like your idea,you could just buy some conversation hearts,or cinnamon hearts....also,make up some Love coupons..."redeemable for 1 hot night of passion or a back rub, or whatever you're into...Good Luck!!
